That was the case once again as Al-Nassr claimed a narrow 1-0 lead in the first leg of their latest continental last-16 encounter.

Ronaldo made the difference in that contest, as he registered the only goal of the game in the 81st minute. He went on to break out a new celebration – one which combines the leap of his famous ‘Siuuu’ routine, while adding in the crossing of hands over his chest that has become synonymous with his “sleeping” ritual.

Ronaldo’s dramatic winner, which was prodded into the top corner from six yards out, has ensured that he makes more headlines around the world. He has, however, been quick to hail collective efforts in a social media post. CR7 has said: “Kicking off the round of 16 with a win! Good work, team!”

WHAT NEXT FOR RONALDO?
Al-Nassr will be back in Saudi Pro League action on Saturday, when they play host to Al Fateh, before taking in the return leg of their Champions League clash with Al Feiha next Wednesday – with Ronaldo looking to chase down another major honour.
